How long the cleaning takes
- 3-seater sofa: about 1 hour.
- Queen (double) mattress: about 45 minutes.
- A sofa and two mattresses in one visit: plan for most of a morning or an afternoon.
How long it takes to dry
Sofas and mattresses dry in about 4 hours with a fan on. Thick cushions, humid days and closed rooms take longer; a fan, the aircon or an open window makes it faster. If you can, book the cleaning in the morning so the bed is dry well before night.
How to prepare before we arrive
- A power point near the sofa or bed.
- Valuable or fragile items moved off and away from the furniture.
- Bedsheets and cushion covers taken off the mattress and sofa.
- Tell us the material (fabric or leather) and any stains, pet accidents or loose parts when you WhatsApp your photos.
Pet urine and old stains
Pet urine odour can be removed. Stains under about 3 months old come out much more easily; the uric acid in urine stays in the fibres once it dries and over time can discolour the fabric, so it is best cleaned early. Very old stains may not come out completely, and the technician tells you before starting.
